Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the oxidation of treated chips and to remarkably improve the yield by instantly vaporizing oil and moisture stuck to the chips with a barrel part for partial heating in a rotary kiln, cooling and discharging the treated chips. SOLUTION: The short cylindrical barrel part 1b for partial heating is removably connected with the end part at the upstream side of the rotary kiln 1 and preheated at 600-700 deg.C with a burner 3 for partial heating. The untreated power A sticking the oil and the moisture is charged into this barrel part through a chip supplying device 4 to instantly vaporize the stuck oil and moisture and also, instantly burn the vaporized combustible oil with ignition. Further, fine powder and grain, etc., contained in the chips are stirred and separated with the rotation of the barrel part 1b for partial heating in the rotary kiln. The treated chips A0 that the oil and the moisture are vaporized and removed, are carried in order into the barrel part 1a of the main body at about 400-500 deg.C and cooled and dried with the combustion gas of the burner 2 while stirring, and shifted in order to the outlet side and discharged onto a carry-out device 6 from an opening hole 1b at the outlet side.
