Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the crash of a medium due to adsorption and abrasion between a slider and the medium, by constituting the support that a stopper of an auxiliary arm is operated according to the action of air flow so that the slider is loaded or unloaded surely to the medium. CONSTITUTION:The auxiliary arm 4 is at the initial position when the medium is stopped, a stopper 6 presses a gimbal 5 and a slider 8 is held to a position apart from the medium. When the medium starts rotation, the air flow shown by the arrow is generated. Air flows to an opening section 3 and out of the opening section 3. The air flow flowed out acts on the auxiliary arm 4, the auxiliary arm 4 is bent and a stopper 6 releases the locking of the gimbal 5. Thus, the gimbal 5 is loaded on the medium. When the rotation is stopped and the air flow disappears, the stopper 6 is restored to the original state because it is tapered in the direction depressing the gimbal, and presses the gimbal 5 to disconnect the slider 8 from the medium.
