Abstract:
Plant to select and bend bars for building work, which is suitable to select and bend simultaneously in a substantially identical manner a plurality of bars, starting with substantially identical bars, the plant comprising at least one store, a first traversing roller conveyor, a shears for shearing to size, at least one movable arm to engage and position bars lengthwise and a supporting bench: the first traversing roller conveyor (17) comprising means to butt a bundle of bars (14) by means of an abutment face (18), fork means (20) for the positioning and vertical alignment of the bundle of bars (14) being included between the first traversing roller conveyor (17) and the shears (39), the movable engagement and positioning arm (31) including in its lower portion a movable engagement gripper (34) and cooperating with the abutment face (18), a relative vertical movement taking place between the movable engagement arm (31) and the shears (39) during the transient time of the arm (31) passing the shears (39). Method for the simultaneous bending of a plurality of bars for building work, starting with substantially identical bars, the method being carried out with a machine comprising a shears (39), a bending unit (41), at least one clamping gripper (36) positioned in cooperation with the bending unit (41), and a movable slidable engagement gripper (34) able to be positioned along the lengthwise axis of the bars (14), the bundle of bars (14) being sheared to size and the first bend of their leading end being carried out (Fig.14b), thereafter the bundle being possibly displaced forwards for possible further bends and thereafter being fed forwards by the whole required length and sheared (Fig.14d), after which with the movable engagement gripper (34) the bundle is retracted upstream by required lengths for the application of further bends (Figs.14e to 14m), whereby the movable engagement gripper (34) in performing the closing bend (Fig.14n) arranges to raise the initial segment containing at least the first bend in the leading end of the bars (14).
