PURPOSE: To make it possible to feed banknotes normally, by arranging a belt mechanism in a pool section for aligning the accumulated banknotes so that the lower ends thereof is directed forward.

CONSTITUTION: Belts 33, 34 hold accumulated banknotes 10 at their both ends together with ring belts 16a, 16b, and therefore, are driven in the same direction as that of the ring belts 16a, 16b with large friction force so that the banknotes 10 are drawn. That is, when the banknotes 10 are accumulated in a pool box 22a, the banknotes 10 positioned in the lower section of the pool box 22a, are moved in the direction of the arrow Q by means of the belt 33, but the banknotes 10 in the upper section of the pool box 22a are moved in the direction of the arrow R, so that the forward ends of the banknotes 10 are aligned by an abutting plate 35 and then are accumulated thereby. Accordingly, upon the feeding of the banknotes 10, it may be normally made since the lower ends of the banknotes 10 are directed forward.
