Abstract:
A textile knitting machine has a tool on a moving shaft (5) in contact with a sidewall guide (2). Either the shaft or the sidewall incorporates a recessed zone creating a gap between the two (2, 5) extending to the tool foot (8). The needle shaft or the surrounding guide sidewalls have elongated axial grooves creating an air gap between the adjacent moving components. The needle shaft has pref. more than one foot (8) linked by one or more an air-cooling recesses.
