Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce a rolling resistance by a method wherein a complex modulus, a loss modulus and a loss compliance of a tread rubber are set respectively in areas of dynamic characteristic values and an effective transversal groove index of the tread is set within a specified range. CONSTITUTION:Various characteristics such as wet skid, driving feelings and the like are improved by a method wherein a loss compliance [E''/(E*)<2>] is lowered, here, E* is a complex modulus of a tread rubber and E'' is a loss modulus of the same, and the loss modulus is not reduced so much. That means to set the various values within ranges as follows; 60), 2), 0.5< E''/(E*)<23.0(X10<-3>cm<2>/kg). Further, values A and B are set respectively within ranges as follows; A<0.90 and B<0.85. Here, the effective transversal groove index A is obtained by a formula wherein a total sum for one periphery of a tire of a widthwise effective sectional area S of a group portion among tread figures is devided by a product of a diameter D of the tire by a width W of the tread, and the proportion B is obtained as a quotient wherein a group contacting area T1 is divided by a total area T0 of the tread.
