Abstract:
A rail system (2) for a chair lift (1) or the like to be mounted along a flight of stairs (4) and comprising a rail (5, 6) having a direction of displacement with a horizontal and a vertical component and having an end portion (6) which, with respect to a lower end of a rail portion (5) to be mounted in a fixed position, is adapted to swivel between a position wherein said end portion (6) in the direction of displacement blends with said rail portion (5) and a position wherein said end portion (6) is swivelled upwards into a vertical position abutting against the lower end of said rail portion (5).
