NEW MATERIAL:Monoazo compds. of formula I having a crystal transformation found in an X-ray diffraction pattern indicating one remarkably intensive peak at an angle of diffraction (2θ) of 25.7°, seven intensive peaks at angles of diffraction (2θ) of 9.4°, 10.2°, 18.7°, 19.0°, 20.3°, 22.9°, and 23.7°, and three medium-intensity peaks at angles of diffraction (2θ) of 15.3°, 21.9°, and 28.5°.
USE: Monoazo dyes coloring polyester fiber or textile blends of natural fiber therewith greenish blue.
PREPARATION: Compds. of formula II are diazotized and coupled with compds. of formula III to yield a crystal transformation, which is treated at 15W140°C for 30minW30hr in an aqueous medium, if necessary, in the presence of dispersants (e.g., condensates of naphthalenesulfonic acid with formaldehyde), or in an org. solvent (e.g., methanol).
