CONSTITUTION: The thin part 102 of a glass cone 10 is constitutued by a core part 12 consisting of high-refractive glass covered with clad 14 consisting of low- refractive glass and the thick side 104 has the three-layer construction consisting of an inner clad 16, the layer of the core part 12 and the layer of the clad part 14. The inner clad part 16 is a complete cone. The thin side 102 is coupled with an optical fiber with the same diameter and the core part 12 of the thick part 104 is coupled with the cores 22 of plural optical fibers 20 fixed by a sleeve 32 applied to the periphery of a cylindrical center member 30.
