Title:
FLANGED PHOTOCONDUCTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0764447
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent an adhesive from flowing out and to reduce changes in the axes of a base portion and a flange portion so as to enhance deflecting accuracy by providing an adhesive guide passage in the flange portion, channeling a cylindrical hollow portion provided in a portion where a cylindrical hollow base portion is fitted to the flange portion, and channeling the flange portion.

CONSTITUTION: In order to fabricate an electrophotographic photoconductor having flange portion 1 at one or both ends, a groove 4 is cut on the surface of contact of a cylindrical hollow base portion 6 with a faucet portion 7, and a narrow passage 3 leading to the channel 4 is provided outside the flange. After the flange portion 1 is fitted into the cylindrical hollow base portion 6, an adhesive is injected from an adhesive passage 3 and set. Accuracy is increased with a very small tolerance allowed for the size of fit between the faucet portion 7 of the cylindrical hollow base portion 6 and the flange portion 1, so as to prevent the adhesive from flowing out and to reduce changes in the axes of the base portion and the flange portion 1, thereby improving deflecting accuracy.
