1517069 Laminated safety glass MONSANTO CO 12 Aug 1976 [13 Aug 1975 (2)] 33606/76 Heading B5N [Also in Division C3] Laminated safety glass comprises a sheet of glass laminated to one or both sides of a sheet of a polyvinylacetal resin stabilized by the inclusion of a small amount of a buffer system including a chelating agent. If glass is laminated at one face only, the exposed resin face may be covered by a sheet of polyethylene terephthalate, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl fluoride, polyvinylidene choride, polycarbonate, polymethyl methacrylate, cellulose acetate, aceto-butyrate or tripropionate, silicone or polyurethane. Conventional three-ply safety glasses may also bear an inner layer of the buffered acetal resin.
