Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the outflow of grease effectively by a method wherein a non-contact seal is constituted by an annular member contacting closely to the end face of the outer race of a bearing and opposing to the end face of an inner race in a non-contacting condition while an air path connecting a space between the inner and outer races of both end faces of the bearing is provided. CONSTITUTION:A radial ball bearing 11 is forcedly fitted into and secured to the hole 50 of a hub 7, however, the end face of an outer race 12 is contacted with the hole 50 under being pressed through an annular seal member 42 provided at the stepped section 41 of the hub 7. The seal member 42 is formed with a seal surface 44 opposing in the non-contacting condition to the lower end face 43 of an inner race 13 and constituting a non-contact seal 46 by the seal faces 43, 44. When a vacuum pressure is affected to a hole 19, the external air is flowed into the inner section 26 of the bearing through a gap 25 between a shield 24 and the inner race 13, a path through the seal 46, a cut 50, and a notch 51.
