PURPOSE: To have distinct discrimination of copying sheets according to interruption from those which have lain since before interruption is made, by performing control so as to exhaust copying sheets at the selection time of interruption sort mode from a bin situated two apart from the bin in which copying sheets before interruption are contained.

CONSTITUTION: The sort key 31 is turned on and the sort mode selection is made to perform copying action, and when the Interrupt key 33 is turned on, the output from an AND circuit 68 will become at H level. A multiplexer 65 displays the data Db applied to its input terminal A on a display 66, i.e. the data (interrupt sort possible volume data) obtained from the total number of bins subtracted by the data Dm about number of copied sheets, entered in a max. value memory 64, added with one. The operator shall operate a Ten key 37 according to desired number of volume while watching the display currently given, and the data is entered in a number entry memory 62, whereafter the print key 35 is pushed. Now a comparative operational circuit 51 will set the bin at No. (Dm+ 2) stage to the home position, and then bin selection is performed one after another in conventional manner.
