PURPOSE: To display the running position of a vehicle accurately, by performing computation and display based on the outputs of rotation detecting sensors for the right and left wheels of the vehicle, the destination distance signal and the destination bearing signal which are set at a starting point, and the output of the bearing sensor of the vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: Right and left rear wheel rotation sensors 11 and 12 detect the rotation of right and left rear wheel axle shafts. Signals S132 and S142 are generated by rotation detecting parts 13 and 14. A bearing detecting part 22 receives the signal from a bearing sensor 21, generates AD converted bearing signals S227 and S228, and also generates analog bearing signals S225 and S226 corresponding to the advancing bearing. A destination setting signal generating part 3 outputs the preset signals of the distance and bearing to the destination, which are set at a starting point, to terminals 35 and 34. A computing part 4 computes the bearing and direct line distance from a present position. A display part 6 selects the bearing display signal from a signal converting part 5 and displays the signal by light. A position display part 7 displays the bearing and direct distance to the destination. In this way the accurate running position can be displayed.
