Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to reduce a surge voltage by the delay energy after commutation by composing to charge a commutation capacitor only in one direction, thereby reducing the withstand voltage of the commutation capacitor. CONSTITUTION:When a thyristor 4a is conducted, a current is supplied to a motor 5 through a diode D1. Simultaneously, commutation capacitors C1'- C3' are charged. When a thyristor 4b is then fired, the thyristor 4a is reversely biased by the voltages of the capacitors C1'-C3', and deenergized. Then, the current is fed through the thyristor 4b, the capacitor C2', the capacitor C1' and the diode D1. Thereafter, when the charged voltage of the capacitor C1' reaches the internal inducted voltage of the motor 5, the thyristor 4b and the diode D2 are conducted. At this time, a current is supplied through the thyristor 4b and the diode D2 to the motor 5.
