PURPOSE: A hair cosmetic, containing a quaternary ammonium salt, an amino acid and 1-hydroxy-2-pyridone salt, and capable of giving improved softness even on the application to any one of rinsing and unrinsing types.
CONSTITUTION: A hair cosmetic containing 0.1W10.0wt% compound of formulaI[R1 or R1 and R2 are 10W24C alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, etc.; R2WR4 or R3 and R4 are 1W3C alkyl or group of formula II (n is an integer 1W5; R5 is H or CH3); (X) is halogen or alkylsulfuric acid group], 0.1W5.0wt% amino acid, e.g. glycine or L-valine, and 0.05W3.0wt% compound of formula III[R1 is alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, etc.; R2 is H, alkyl, phenyl, etc.; (X) is organic amine residue]. The resultant cosmetic is used in the form of a hair rinse, hair conditioner, hair lotion, etc.
