PURPOSE: To prevent remarkable reduction in the combined efficiency of microwave power by providing a control circuit which short-circuits or opens a transmission line between an output of plural individual amplifiers and a power combiner when the individual amplifier is faulty between the both.
CONSTITUTION: A microwave is inputted to an input terminal 1 and branched at a power distributor 2 having plural branch paths, different transmission coefficient from one branch path to the other branch path depending on the selection of the branch path and also having nearly equal transmission coefficient from each branch to a common point of the branch paths. The wave is fed to the plural individual amplifiers 6 and combined at the power combiner 10 via control circuits 12 and the result is outputted to an output terminal 11. In the circuit 12, a transmission line 16 is provided between terminals 7 and 9 and an individual amplifier 6 is faulty, a negative voltage is applied so as to conduct a diode 15 and short-circuit the transmission line 16 thereby making the impedance viewed from the power combiner 2 to the faulty individual amplifier 6 independent of an output impedance of the individual amplifier 6.
