Title:
AUTOMATIC WATER FEEDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5917075
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of water-hammer, by a method wherein a pressure sealing valve, actuating in linkage with a push spring and a diaphragm, is installed, the diaphragm is isolated, with a fine gap formed, by the partial partition of the pressure sealing valve, and flow-in and flow-out of a pressure water between the diaphragm and the partition are limited. CONSTITUTION:In case a pressure in a discharge pipe 4 is decreased rapidly, since a diaphragm 15 is isolated by a partition 19 of an upper piece 14, it takes a long time to transfer a pressure from a flow passage 10 part to the diaphragm 15. When a valve is brought to an open state and the diaphragm 15 pushed up is returned to a state (in which the valve 20 is closed) as shown in a drawing, a change in a volume is produced. In this case, it takes a long time for the water to be drained, to be discharged to the flow passage 10 side through a narrow gap, forming a bored-through hole, between a rod 17 and the partition 19, and this prevents a pressure from the rapid reduction between the flow passages 10 and 11 of a pressure sealing valve 6. Thus, the valve 20 is smoothly closed to prevent the occurrence of water-hammer.
