Title:
AIR-FUEL RATIO DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6027851
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate handling and manufacture, etc. of a detector, by installing on an one-end closed cylinder provided with gas dispersion hole of dispersing layer on this closed end an oxygen ion penetrating solid electrolyte which divides said closed end side and non-closed end side.

CONSTITUTION: An air-fuel ratio detector is provided with circular ceramic cylinder 1, gas dispersion hole 2 located on the closed and 1' of this cylinder 1 and gas dispersion hole 2 equipped with electrodes 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b. These electrodes are attached in semi-circular arrangement on both surfaces of a oxygen ion penetrating solid electrolyte 3 in circular disk form. In this case, the oxygen ion penetrating solid electrolyte 3 is so arranged that the closed end side 1' and non-closed end side are divided. By this construction, handling and manufacture, etc. of the detector is not only facilitated, but also better control of engine can be realized.
