Abstract:
PURPOSE:To ensure sealing by producing a vacuum in a volume closed with a cover plate and the contact end of a deformed X-packing having a U-spring. CONSTITUTION:A deformed X-packing 5 incorporating a U-spring 6 is buried in the groove of a container flange 2. A cover plate 3 can be moved so as to be pressed to the packing 5 via a cam plate 8 by rotating a cam shaft 7. When the cover plate 3 is opposed to the U-spring 6 in the packing 5 by the pressing force of a cam, an entirely closed portion is formed between the packing 5 and cover plate 3. This closed portion is connected to a vacuum discharge system, and the vacuum force at that time is applied to the cover plate 3 as a vertical force. Therefore, the sealing action is made reliable together with the vertical replusive force of the spring 6.
