Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a phosphor screen with excellent resolution and sensitivity when an x-ray image is converted to a visible image by allowing a slurry-shaped fluid body to penetrate into a through hole until it reaches the other side, using the weight of the slurry-shaped fluid body or the differential pressure between one side space and the other side space and curing it.

CONSTITUTION: Figure (a) is a partial cross-sectional diagram sketching roughly that a fluid body 2 is applied to the top of a substrate 1. As a result, scintillator enters a through hole 1a along with the synthetic resin of a carrier. Figure (b) shows that the fluid body 2 reaches the other end side. When the scintillator is hardly able to enter the through hole 1a or when an increase in its entering speed is desired, air pressure is applied to the top or the bottom is pressure- reduced. The inner part of the through hole is fully filled with the scintillator and synthetic resin and the fluid body outside the through hole is wiped. If the said synthetic resin is cured as time elapses, it is left to stand alone. If curing is accelerated by heat, heat shall be applied to the resin. The synthetic resin is cured and both surfaces of the substrate 1 are abraded.
