PURPOSE: To confirm additional information to be copied through the window in the original abutting surface of the platen of a copying machine by arranging a pattern display part which has liquid crystal display device on both surfaces of a printed board on the reverse surface of the original abutting plate.
CONSTITUTION: The additional information printing device A which has the liquid crystal display devices 1 and 1' on the top and reverse surfaces is provided under a scale plate 7 and the outside of one terminal of platen glass 6, and the reverse surface of the additional information printing device A is exposed by a light source 9 which scans as shown by an arrow (a). A window through which the liquid crystal display 1' is confirmed is formed in the scale plate 7, so an operator confirms the contents of information being printed at present through the window 8 directly from the top surface.
