PURPOSE: To get a rim of good forming accuracy by a method wherein at the process of cutting a winding layer at both sides of an inner mold, the second outer mold is inserted, after whichever process is carried out to wear on the outer periphery of a winding layer by enlarging the diameter of the first outer mold.
CONSTITUTION: A reinforced fiber 9 which is impregnated with matrix resin is wouned with required winding angle on the outer periphery of the inner mold 1 fixed on a shaft 3. The reinforced fiber 9 is cut at the part of each space (a), (b) by inserting the first outer mold 2 leaving the reinforced fiber 9 wound, and the restraint of the reinforced fiber 9 is removed. Inner molds are removed individually from the shaft 3 unitedly with the winding layer 12 and the first outer mold, and are heated. The second outer mold 10 is covered around the first outer mold 2 and an outer ring 11 is fitted to the outer periphery and is strongly pushed in with a hydraulic press etc., and the external force is loaded to the first outer mold through the second outer mold 10 and the winding layer 12 is pressurized. Next, removing the inner mold 1, the outer ring 11, the first outer mold 2 and the second outer mold 10, the FRP rim can be obtained.
