Title:
FITTING METHOD OF IMPELLER TO TURBINE SHAFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5848701
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the thermal efficiency due to high temperature of a turbine by fitting an impeller on a ceramic turbine shaft and then fitting a spacer heated to the temperature higher than shrinkage fitting temperature on the tip end of the shaft. CONSTITUTION:After fitting an impeller 4 on a ceramic turbine shaft 2 having a turbine wheel 1, a spacer 3 heated to a temperature higher than shrinkage fitting temperature is fitted on the tip end of the shaft 2. Thereafter, by suitably cooling the spacer 3, the metal-made impeller 4 is fixed to and formed unitarily with the shaft 2, thus a turbine rotor assembly being formed. In this manner, ceramic products are used in the high temperature part, and an improvement in the heat efficiency due to heating to the high temperature of the turbine can be attained.
