PURPOSE: To make a glass case thin and light by enabling the thickness of the glass plate of the case to be decreased by dispersing the force of the atmospheric pressure by the application of plate-like glass spacers and internal struts.
CONSTITUTION: The thickness (t1) of control electrodes 3aW3d is about 0.1W 0.2mm, and the thickness (T1) of plate like glass spacers 8aW8d is about 0.5W2mm. The slit interval of the control electrodes 3aW3c is the same as that of the spacers 8a and 8b. The control electrodes 3aW3d and the spacers 8aW8d are stacked alternately in sandwich-like form so that each control electrode is interposed between two of the spacers 8aW8d, and spacers formed in their circumference parts are sealed with low melting point glass members 2aW2f. Thus, the spacers 8aW8d are integrated with electrodes 3aW3d to form a glass case. In addition, since the spacers 8aW8d can serve as internal struts, the plate thickness of the case can be decreased by dispersing force.
