PURPOSE: To perform flexible finishing processing, by a method wherein the type of a part to be processed is instructed to each processing unit by a part recognizing unit, and DNC control is made on each processing unit to effect different burr removing processings.
CONSTITUTION: A molded part is placed at random on a platen 13 of a free cycle conveyor 8 for conveyance, a shape is measured by a part recognizing unit 4 to send this information to a DNC controller 9, and the type of a part is decided by a microcomputer. The part on the platen 13 is conveyed, in order, to a round hole processing unit 5 for removing the burrs of a round hole, a square hole processing unit 6 for removing the burrs of a square hole, and a periphery processing unit 7 for removing the burrs of the periphery of a part, and in response to processing data shifted in turn, the part is clamped by a clamp jig 15, and a processing tool is selected according to the processing data to perform their respective processings. This permits automatic removal of the burrs of a part produced at random.
