Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce chromium aventurine glass from worthless raw material, by using waste glaze of enamelware and chromium plating sludge as the raw materials.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of waste enamelware glaze and 0.3W4wt% (dry basis) chromium plating sludge is put into a crucible, melted at ≥1,300°C in an electric furnace, and maintained at 1,100W1,300°C for ≥10min. Innumerable fine crystals of chromium oxide are separated out in the glass by this process to form the objective chromium aventurine glass.
