PURPOSE: To make a titled device small in size, to make it unnecessary to execute an adjustment of high accuracy, and to improve a picture quality by constituting said device so that a photosensitive body covered with a non-magnetic material, and a magnet which has carried a developer layer on the surface are opposed to each other by providing a prescribed gap on the surface of an uneven magnetic material.
CONSTITUTION: An uneven magnetic material surface 2 of a photosensitive body 1 is covered with a non-magnetic material, and a magnetic carrier 8 is adhered to the surface of a magnet 7 which has been opposed by providing a prescribed gap. When a latent image on the photosensitive body 1 electrified to minus is positioned at a magnetic carrier 8 part, an electric field is generated, an insulating toner 9 electrified to plus of the carrier 8 part adheres to the latent image and its development can be executed. Between the photosensitive body 1 and the magnet 7, a magnetic field is generated, therefore, a developer layer is brought into contact under pressure in a state that bristles have been raised, and it becomes unnecessary to adjust with high accuracy a gap between the photosensitive body and the magnet. Also, since the non- magnetic material is covered, the magnetic carrier scarcely adheres to the photosensitive body, and the picture quality can be improved by stirring the developer by the uneven surface.
