PURPOSE: To shorten the time of image formation on the 1st objective image formation medium when the image formation is carried out continuously by operating an image forming means simultaneously with the operation of a scanning means, and performing the image formation simultaneously with an original read.
CONSTITUTION: A platen 7 is fixed to a main frame 1, and a photoelectric converter 13 which moves forth and back as shown by an arrow (a) is provided under it. The photoelectric converter 13 is moved forth and back by a reversible motor (not shown in figure) provided to one terminal of the guide shaft of a carriage 13. A platen 30, on the other hand, is positioned almost at the center part of an image formation part 9, and a thermal head 31 is arranged opposite thereto. This platen 30 is also rotated forward and backward by the unshown pulse motor to move forth and back recording paper stacked in a paper feed cassette 42. Recording paper is printed in color by the several-time movement of those scanner and recording paper.
