PURPOSE: To enable insertion of any kind of original by making an original contact surface of a shelflike member for stabilizing position and attitude of an original when inserting the original movable toward an original inserting port.

CONSTITUTION: An original is positioned along marks 91W93 and placed on the upper face 7a of a movable body 7, and the movable body 7 is moved toward an original inserting port 2 along the main body 6. Consequently, the orignal is sent from the original inserting port 2 to an original exposing section 4 by a feed-in mechanism 3. As the original is shifted to the original inserting port 2 with the movable body 7, relative position of the original and upper face 7a of the movable body cause no deviation, any original including a thin, weak original, an original having a ragged edge etc. can be inserted into the original inserting port 2 straight and correctly.
