PURPOSE: To uniformize the temperature distribution in a room and obtain the comfortable environment by a method wherein the blow-off direction of a blow-off port is switched and fixed automatically by using a controller.
CONSTITUTION: When a vane 4 is located at a position having an angle θ1 with respect to horizontal direction, for example, in which air from the blow-off port is not hitting human body directly and is directed toward the upper part of a room or first direction, a position detecting switch 7 opens a contact 7b and outputs the signal of OFF (0) and when the vane 4 is located at another position having an angle θ2 with respect to the horizontal direction, for example, in which the air is hitting the human body directly and is directed toward the lower part of the room or the second direction, the switch 7 closes the contact 7b and outputs the signal of ON (1). When the vane 4 is located at an intermediate position between the angle θ1 and θ2, the opening and closing of the contact 7b is switched by a cam 7a at the angle θ0 and, thus, the vane 4 is fixed at either one of the angular positions θ1, θ2. As a result, the air is blown off horizontally upon operating the compressor during room cooling operation to improve the temperature distribution of the room, however, when the temperature of blow-off air is increased after the stop of the compressor, the air is blown off downwardly to improve cool air feeling, thus, a control, through which the comfortable property of the machine is improved, may be effected.
