Title:
HOT JOINING METHOD OF SINTERED HARD ALLOY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59159283
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce large-sized wear-resistant parts with a simple stage and a small-sized inexpensive device by fitting taperingly the outside flank of a sintered hard alloy in a core part and the inside flank of an outside circumferential sintered hard alloy constituted by enclosing the core part.

CONSTITUTION: The outside surface 1' of a sintered hard alloy 1 in a core part and the inside surface 2' of an outside circumferential sintered hard alloy 2 enclosing said surface are tapered. These alloys are placed on a stage 3, and the pressure by the own weight of the alloy 1 is applied on the tapered inside surface of the alloy 2. The alloys are heated in this state in a reducing or neutral atmosphere or in a vacuum by which the alloys are joined on the tapered surfaces. The joining is thus accomplished inexpensively with high joint strength without need for any jig for joining at all.
