Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve a transport factor to a photoelectric element of incident beams from the soda glass plate side by using a soda glass plate, only an incident surface for beams is brought into contact with hydrogen fluoride and sodium in a surface layer thereof is removed, as a substrate in which electromotive force is generated by incident beams. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive film 2, an amorphous silicon layer 3 with a P-N junction and a metallic electrode 4 are laminated on a glass substrate 1 in succession. With the substrate 1, only one surface of a plate glass is brought into contact with an HF atmosphere, and a porous layer 11, Na in soda glass thereof is removed in the thickness of approximately 200Angstrom , is formed to the surface. Na is removed in the surface layer 11 and the layer 11 approximately consists of only SiO2, and the refractive index of the layer 11 is brought to approximately 1.4. Since there is such a surface layer 11 only on the incident side of beams 5 to the substrate 1 and there is no one on the transparent electrode 2 side, the refractive indices of each layer increase in succession as 1.4 in the surface layer 11, 1.5 in the glass plate 1, 2.0 in the transparent conductive film and 3.9 in the silicon layer 3, and the refractive indices are not reversed on their midway. Accordingly, reflection is inhibited minimally, the quantity of beams projected to the silicon layer 3 is increased, and a generated current value is improved by 5-10%.
