Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a rotary electric machine by installing a cooler in the vicinity of a stator, and providing a blower at the cooling air outlet side of the cooler. CONSTITUTION:A cooler 13 is provided in the vicinity of a stator 9 to cool the cooling air of a rotary electric machine 2. A blower 15 is installed at the cooling air outlet side of the cooler 13. This blower 15 is operated at the time of stopping the machine 2, and cooling air is circulated in the pit 1 to cool the machine 2. The quantity of cooling air can be reduced in the amount corresponding to the total quantity of the heat sink amount due to natural heat sink and heat conduction and the quantity of the heat cooled by the blower 15.
