Title:
NOZZLE FOR USE IN HOT-WATER TURBINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59168201
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a high-speed, uniform mixture flow, by forming a mixing chamber on the inside of a steam pipe by providing a hot-water tube having a converged conduit diverged near the top and formed with connecting ports communicated with the steam pipe, and atomizing hot water into fine particles by imparting swirl to the hot-water flow. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle for use in a hot-water turbine consists of a Lavel nozzle 12 and a mixing chamber 11 for mixing hot water with steam. The mixing chamber 11 is composed of a steam pipe 13 and a hot-water tube 14 having a converged conduit diverged near the top and formed with connecting ports 15 communicated with the steam pipe 13. The connecting ports 15 are opened with a proper inclination to the axis of the hot-water tube 14. With such an arrangement, the flow of hot water passed through the hot-water tube 14 increases its velocity gradually, and pressure in the tube 14 is lowered toward the outlet of the tube 14. Further, steam introduced from the connecting ports 15 imparts swirl to the flow of hot water and atomizes hot water into fine particles. Therefore, it is enabled to obtain a high-speed, uniform mixture flow with no velocity difference of the steam flow and the hot-water flow.
