Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a thin structure strong against oscillation by arranging an objective lens, a focus actuator, a light emitting part, and a light reception part on a rotor.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary voice coil motor 31 for tracking is provided, and its rotor 32 is disk-shaped. An objective lens 33, a focus actuator 34, a light emitting part 35, a light reception part 36 are arranged on the rotor 32. The disk-shaped rotor 32 increases the rigidity for support of the objective lens 33, etc., and the rotary voice coil motor 31 reduces vertical dimensions (h) of an optical head device 30. Thus, this device is strong against oscillation and is capable of quick access and is made thin.
