Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the certainty of communication by transmitting a signal in opposite direction when a transmission line is disconnected in a two-way loop transmission system using one transmission line.
CONSTITUTION: Each station is constituted identically and makes communication by the TDM. Each station is constituted such that wire disconnection is detected by a reception signal not received for a prescribed time, a flag is set to a specific time slot when the wire disconnection is detected and informed to other stations, the direction of transmission of the stations is changed over in a specific period and the said switching period is set in correspondence to the distance from the disconnected position.
