PURPOSE: To provide a heating and cooking device capable of attaining a convenience in use so as to prevent oil and fat of a cooked item from being left at least as bad odor even if they adhere to an inner wall surface of a heating chamber by a method wherein the inner wall surface of the heating chamber is coated with a coating agent containing substance having an effect of deodorizing.
CONSTITUTION: An inner wall surface of a heating chamber 2 is coated with a coating agent (coating) containing catalyst substance having an effect of deodorizing so as to form a coating film 6. The applied coating agent is made such that a silicone coating having a relatively high heat-resistant characteristic is added with catalyst having a deodorizing function. As a catalyst substance, a simple substance or a combination of methyl phenyl silicon, manganese dioxide, zirconium phosphate, lanthanum oxide and titanium oxide was used. Due to a presence of this coating film 6, even if oil and fat are adhered to an inner wall surface of the heating chamber 2 upon completion of a heating and cooking operation for the cooked item and after removing the cooked item, bad odor in the heating chamber 2 is almost eliminated.
