Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain azine at high feed rate and at a high reaction temperature, by using CA hypochlorite as a hypochlorite, feeding it to a reaction system at a rate in a specific range, reacting the hypochlorite with ammonia in the presence of a carbonyl compound.

CONSTITUTION: Calcium hypochlorite is used as a hypochlorite, fed as an aqueous solution having 5W25wt%, preferably 5W15wt% effective chlorine concentration, at a rate of 0.001W0.2mol/mol minute, especially 0.002W0.008mol/mol minute effective amount based on 1mol total amounts of a carbonyl compound (acetone or methyl ethyl ketone) and ammonia to a reaction system, and the hypochlorite is reacted with ammonia in a molar ratio condition of 2W5mol carbonyl compound and 5W35mol ammonia based on 1mol effective chlorine concentration of the hypochlorite at atmospheric pressure or at pressure higher than it at 25W60°C, especially at 35W50°C, to give azine useful as an intermediate for preparing hydrazine.
