Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of the titled by a method wherein a light emitting element and a light receiving element are covered in common with a transparent resin with scattering agent mixed therein. CONSTITUTION:The light emitting element 1 and the light receiving element 2 are mount-bonded on opposed leads of a common lead frame 3, so that the light emitting plane and the light receiving plane may become parallel with the frame plane, and are electrically connected to leads with bonding wires 4. Further, the gap between the elements and their peripheries are covered with the transparent resin 5 such as silicon with the scattering agent such as SiO2 mixed in such a manner that the radiated light from the element 1 reaches the element 2. After such a manner, the whole of the photo coupled part inside the frame 3 is molded with a non-transparent resin to shield the external light harmful to photo coupling. Then, the unnecessary parts of the lead frame are cut off while leaving light emitting element side leads 7 and light receiving element side leads 8 sealed with a non-transparent molded body 6, and the titled device is completed.
