Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. excellent in mechanical strength, dimentional stability, and thermal characteristics, useful as engineering plastic, by incorporating an inorg. filler and an epoxy resin with a polyphenylene sulfide.
CONSTITUTION: 30W90pts.wt. polyphenylene sulfide, 70W10pts.wt. inorg. filler (e.g., glass fiber or carbon fiber) and 0.1W100pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. polyphenylene sulfide, cured epoxy resin are incorporated to yield the desired polyphenylene sulfide compsn. Said cured epoxy resin is added preferably after pulverized into a particle size of 100μm or below in advance.
