PURPOSE: To perform irregular reproduction in addition to selective reproduction by providing a one-way clutch between a turntable where a phonograph record with plural modulated grooves and a spring moter.

CONSTITUTION: The driving force from a constant-torque spring motor 1 is applied to a turntable 2 through a one-way clutch 6. On the turntable 2, a phonograph record 4 with plural modulated grooves is placed. A cord 12 is drawn and after the constant-torque spring motor 1 is wound, the cord 12 is released to lower a pickup 8 onto the phnograph record 4, thereby oscullating a speaker cone 10. Even after reproduction, the turntable 2 rotates several times continuously because of the one-way clutch 6, and then another modulated groove is reproduced. Further, setting an indicator 21 at an optional position reproduces a specific modulated groove.
