PURPOSE: To attain simultaneously both focal detection and stop settlement of a photographing lens by one light emission by using a light emitting device for both auxiliary light emission for a focus detecting function and auxiliary light emission for settling automatically the stop by auxiliary light at the time of strobe photographing.
CONSTITUTION: When a release is pressed, a front curtain starts to travel, a back curtain travelling start signal DMgT outputted from a sequence control device is turned to the H level and then to the L level by a NOT gate 153, so that a photometric circuit constituted of a photodetector 10 and an integrating capacitor 149 is enabled to execute photometry. When a shutter front curtain is fully opened, an X contact is closed, its closing signal is passed through a capacitor 113, a trigger light circuit consisting of a thyristor 116, a capacitor 117, a trigger transformer 118, and resistors 114, 115 is actuated, the main light emission of a main light emission xenon tube 126 is started similarly to the auxiliary light emission of an auxiliary light emission xenon tube 125, the photodetector 10 detects reflected light from a subject on the basis of the main light emission, and the voltage of the integrating capacitor 149 reaches a set value, the main light emission stops.
