Title:
RADIOACTIVE WASTE DISPOSAL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04109199
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent volume expansion and maintain the healthiness of a solidified body for a long period by adding NaCl, NaOH or NaNO3 to prevent when a radioactive waste liquid containing Na2SO4 is solidified.

CONSTITUTION: Cement is filled into a kneading tank 7 from a solidifying tank 1, and water is added from an additive water tank 2 for kneading 7. CaCl, NaOH or NaNO3 is filled into the tank 7 from a tank 3 to be mixed with cement, and mixed cement is poured into a drum 9 filled with pellets 8 in advance from the tank 7 to form a solidified body. The Na2SO4 in the pellets 8 is prevented from becoming brine by the NaCl, NaOH or NaNO3 in the mixed cement, thus the cement solidified body is prevented from generating cracks and being deteriorated by volume expansion.
