PURPOSE: To obtain a rubber-covered lattice-shaped material, e.g., tire reinforced layer, etc., capable of producing radial tires with good efficiency by a method in which a rubber-covered lattice-shaped material is cut off every length range containing plural warps and separated by tearing in the direction of warps in the connected state by only the rubber portion.

CONSTITUTION: All warps 14 arranged in the longitudinal direction in the lattice- shaped material 10 covered with rubber 15 are cut off discretely for every length range containing plural longitudinal threads 14 along a cutting line B in advance. Under a condition that only the rubber portions 20 present between cutting portions 16 of the upper and lower materials 10a and 10b of the bamboo blind form in the cutting line B are connected by their tensile strengths, the rubber portions 20 are tore in the direction of the longitudinal threads to separate the lower material 10b from the upper material 10a in the cutting line B. The lattice- shaped material 10 can thus be cut off into definite sizes.
