Title:
SURFACE TREATMENT FOR PATTERNING OF ALUMINUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5839798
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To form freely colored patterns of >=2 colors on the surface of an Al material having intricate cross sectional shapes by drawing colored patterns via a hindering material on a thin film, transferring the same onto the Al and applying electrolytic coloring on the parts where the hindering material is not stuck. CONSTITUTION:Ethylene glycol or the like which hinders an electrolytic coloring is stuck on a suitable thin film and suitable figures or patterns are provided thereon. the figures or patterns are drawn on these parts by using oil paint. The thin film with the colored surface faced upward is floated on liquid and an Al material is pressed thereto and both are sunk in the liquid so that the thin film is stuck tightly on the surface of the Al by utilizing the sinking liquid pressure. The thin film is removed, and an electrolytic coloring treatment is applied on the Al surface stuck with the hindering material and the oil dye, whereby the parts where the hindering material is not stuck are colored to desired colors and the colored patterns are formed. The freely colored and designed patterns are formed on the surface of the Al material such as building materials by the above-mentioned treatment.
