CONSTITUTION: Magnetic patterns formed on a magnetic scale 12 on a magnetic rule 11 are detected by a magnetic head 13 and a trigger pulse A(timing interval T1) is generated according to a certain moving amount. Pulse of a fixed interval S formed by a clock provided inside the electronic pen device 1 is orderly applied as a recording signal to a recording needle 8. In the case of a recording needle consisting of 7-line, 5-row 35 needles, 35 times the with S of pulse is the pulse time t1 of a scanning pulse group. Since the rear portion of recording signals is not cut, the relation T1>t1 must be held at all times.
