PURPOSE: To absorb gradually impact energy, and to suppress impact and vibration without damaging the measuring sensitivity and linearity of a scale type recording snow gauge, by a structure obtaned by cascadecoupling plual piston type dampers containing an elastic body.

CONSTITUTION: A piston 1, a cylinder and piston 2, a cylinder 3 and supporting and restoring eleastic bodies 4, 5 form piston type dampers A, B, and a buffer device having a buffer operation as a whole between the piston 1 and the cylinder 3. As for the elastic bodies 4, 5, rod-like rubber, a coil spring, a bellows or a bellows spring, and other elastic body of an optional shape are used. As for an internal fluid of the cylinders 2, 3, air or oil is sed as a conventional piston type damper.
