Title:
CONTROLLING METHOD FOR SINTERING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5848643
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To considerably enhance the quality and yield of a product by automatically and accurately estimating the ignition position in the firing furnace of a Dwight-Lloyd type sintering machine and by controlling the position to the proper desired position to attain a heat pattern which is most preferable for the quality of sintered ore.

CONSTITUTION: The amounts of CO and CO2 in waste gas are measured with analyzers 1 and a flowmeter 2 attached to wind boxes 9 (9a, 9b...9g...) arranged under the firing furnace 8 of a Dwight-Lloyd type sintering machine. The measured values are sent to an operator 5 together with the amount and composition 3 of a firing or preheating-firing source such as coke oven gas and the contents 4 of limestone and coke breeze in blended starting material to calculate the carbon balance. By the calculation the combustion starting position of carbon in the starting material is calculated to grasp the ignition position to be controlled. When the estimated ignition position deviates from the desired position to the ore discharge side, in accordance with a signal from a controller 6, the feed of the firing or preheating-firing source is increased with a flow rate regulating valve 7 to make the deviation zero.
