PURPOSE: To allow the observation of the three-dimensional image to be recorded from the rear side of the recording medium when recording is executed on the front side of the recording medium by subjecting the recording medium formed by providing fly eye lens plates symmetrically on both front and rear surfaces of the recording material layer of thermal writing type to the recording.

CONSTITUTION: Electrodes Et1, Et2 are respectively formed on the flat surface side of the fly eye lens plates FELf, FELb. The electrodes Et1, Et2 are then disposed to face each other via spacers 1, 2 and the erasable recording material of the thermal writing type, such as nematic/cholesteric liquid crystal mixture, is injected into the formed spacing, by which the recording material layer 3 is formed. The recording medium RM is mounted toa container B in such a state as to expose the front side of the recording medium RM into the aperture of the side face Bf of the container B and to expose the rear side of the recording medium RM to the outside of th container B.
